Stretch film might be essential to your operations, but its environmental impact doesn’t have to be. At iSustain, we’re committed to helping our partners take meaningful steps toward circularity. This Earth Day, we're spotlighting an ongoing success story that proves what's possible when sustainability meets innovation.
Every production floor generates waste—but not every company knows what to do with it. That’s where we come in. iSustain partners with manufacturing and distribution facilities across the country, providing the tools, training, and equipment needed to capture and bundle stretch film waste at the source.
Once collected, the film is sorted, cleaned, and pelletized at iSustain processing facilities. These post-consumer recycled (PCR) pellets are then reintroduced into the supply chain as valuable raw material—ready to be transformed again.
Our longtime partner, Sigma Stretch Film, plays a key role in this process. Using advanced technologies, Sigma produces high-quality stretch film and related products containing up to 30% PCR content. It’s a powerful example of how waste can be reborn as a resource—and used again without compromise.
Once the film has served its purpose, the cycle continues. Used stretch film can be collected, processed, and repurposed all over again—strengthening the circular economy and reducing demand for virgin materials.
Our collaboration with Sigma Stretch Film is more than just a recycling program—it’s a model for what’s possible when companies commit to sustainability at scale. Together, we’re proving that the future of packaging is circular and that every facility has a part to play.
This Earth Day, we’re not just celebrating progress. We’re inviting you to be a part of it.
