iSustain: Leading the Charge in On-Site Recycling at the 2024 Plastics Recycling Conference

At iSustain, we are proud to take center stage as the driving force behind the on-site recycling initiatives at the Plastics Recycling Conference. Collaborating with various industries, our mission is to spearhead a comprehensive recycling program that makes a tangible impact on waste diversion at the conference. With a proven track record in managing materials on-site, iSustain will be overseeing the collection of beverage containers, flexible plastics, fiber and general waste generated during the event.

iSustain’s Impact on Landfill Diversion

Our commitment to landfill diversion spans both large and small companies across North America. Since our inception in 2014, iSustain has successfully diverted over 1 billion pounds of plastics, paper, metal, and food waste from landfills. We employ a range of methods, including mechanical recycling, chemical recycling, reuse, and waste-to-energy initiatives. Partnering with major manufacturers of plastic packaging, we provide tailored recycling solutions to enhance circularity in the industry.

In Order to Be Circular, You Must Think Outside the Box

At iSustain, we believe that to truly achieve circularity in the recycling sector, we must innovate beyond conventional methods. Recognizing the limitations of the linear recycling model, we have dedicated ourselves to transforming the recycling process into a sustainable, circular system. This transition is pivotal, as it directly confronts the historical approach of selling recyclables to the highest bidder without consideration for their ultimate end-use. By engaging in this shift, we aim to preserve virgin resources by perpetuating the life cycle of materials through continuous recycling. iSustain's philosophy is clear: recycling should not just be about managing waste but about creating a sustainable, circular ecosystem that values materials for their potential to be reused, repurposed, and recycled indefinitely. As we step into our role as the recycling aggregator for the 2024 Plastics Recycling Conference, we're not just participating; we're leading by example, demonstrating the power of circular economy principles in action.

Collaborating Organizations for On-Site Recycling at the 2024 PRC

iSustain is collaborating with industry leaders to maximize recycling at PRC 2024, including Mohawk, Pratt Industries, Berry Global, and Ryan’s Transportation. Mohawk, a leading flooring manufacturer and mechanical recycler, will handle all PET collected during the conference. Pratt Industries, America's fifth-largest corrugated packaging company, will process paper and fiber content, while Berry Global will provide recyclable polypropylene cups. Ryan’s Transportation will ensure seamless material shipping services for all recyclables collected at the show.
