Keep the TN River Beautiful
River Champions

At iSustain, our dedication to environmental protection goes beyond recycling efforts. We actively participate in and sponsor initiatives that make a tangible impact on the communities we serve. As evidence of our commitment to our community, we proudly sponsor the annual Keep the TN River Beautiful cleanup event, where volunteers come together to preserve the natural beauty of the Tennessee River.

Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful (KTNRB) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and the first-ever Keep America Beautiful affiliate dedicated solely to river preservation. With the support of numerous enthusiastic volunteers, KTNRB diligently works to rid the Tennessee River watershed of environmental debris each year. Their impactful cleanup events have successfully removed over one hundred thousand pounds of trash from the watershed over the years. Demonstrating unwavering dedication, these passionate individuals conduct similar initiatives across the state, showcasing year-round commitment to environmental preservation.
Kathleen Gibi, Executive Director of Keep the TN River Beautiful, recognizes iSustain as "river champions" due to our support for the river cleanups. She stated, “As a growing nonprofit, it’s all the more meaningful to work with a company that has consistently supported us since our early years the way that iSustain has. On top of the fact that their staff members roll up their sleeves and clean the shorelines each year at this series, they work year-round making an impact for our planet!” We aim to live up to the River Champions moniker through continued sponsorship of this incredibly needed organization’s efforts.
A Shared Responsibility
iSustain’s staff members actively participate in cleaning the shorelines with KTNRB and work year-round through our recycling programs to make a positive impact for our planet. Various iSustain sponsored clean-up events through KTNRB have resulted in the removal of 19,901 pounds of trash from the Tennessee River in the past three years.
“So exciting to be a part of the KTNRB efforts to educate, create awareness, and make an impact on the litter in our waterways,” said Mark Huber, Vice President of Business Development for iSustain, Inc. and KTNRB Board President. “KTNRB is focusing on the source of ocean litter and microplastic contamination, and through outreach and education we can all make a difference on our beautiful waterways here in Tennessee and nationally.”
The achievements of KTNRB’s clean-up events serve as a rallying call for individuals and businesses to embrace sustainable practices and take steps towards protecting our natural resources. iSustain is proud to be a part of this critical mission. Together, we can create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for the Tennessee River and the communities it nourishes.
